— In Tagalog, the standardized national language of the Philippines, “mabuhay” can mean many things
It is used as a greeting, and generally carries various meanings, such as “long live”, “good luck”, “welcome”, and “hurrah”. This turn of phrase is used as my business name in honor of my family and heritage. I have always felt very connected to my Filipino roots and love this phrase that carries so much meaning and love, both through the well-wishing of a long and prosperous life as well as celebration. It is also a nod to my time in the restaurant industry, as “mabuhay” is sometimes used as a toast to mean “cheers”. Life is meant to be celebrated, and I am here to ensure that my clients are able to do so!
— My services
Massage Therapy
My primary practice is in the modality of massage therapy. Treatment includes hands-on manipulation of body tissue to ease stress, reduce muscle tension, and promote a greater sense of well-being. Therapy sessions are tailored to your unique body and experience.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping is a form of manual therapy where specialized cups are placed on the skin. These cups use suction to pull on the skin and bring in blood flow, easing stagnation and drawing out toxins.
Yoga Sessions
I offer one-on-one yoga sessions with focus to any area you feel is necessary. Yoga is a great complement to massage therapy, and can even be done before or after a massage treatment.
Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle massage technique where light touch is used to ease tension and adhesion in the body’s connective tissue network and enhance the function of the central nervous system. CST can also be used for emotional energy release, trauma work, and deep relaxation. I am currently in training to receive my certification in CST, and any CST work with clients will be considered as practice hours toward my certification
